Women Pioneers of Egyptian Art: Words and Images is an illustrated book that attempts to introduce readers to pioneering women artists – such as Khadija Riyad, Sawsan Amer, and Zeinab Abduh – who enriched the Egyptian modern arts movement in the early 20th century. It provides brief excerpts on their lives and artistic styles, and includes images of some of their paintings.
