On the 11th of January 2010 , WMF hosted a seminar entitled Broken Taboos in post election Iran by Dr. Ziba Mir-Hossein. Dr. Ziba Mir-Hosseini is an Iranian legal anthropologist, specialized in Islamic law, women's rights and development, based in London.
The seminar centered on the gender dynamics of the June 2010 presidential election in Iran and highlighted the egalitarian shifts in the politics of gender and a new "culture of rights" in post election Iran.
